Dear Friends and Family,

Health Hub was created in hopes of providing healthcare access and education to the underprivileged in our Dallas/Fort Worth area. We began this organization because we saw a disconnect with current healthcare systems and citizens in need of assistance with basic medical services.  We wanted to connect with people in need of medical services with professionals in the community who were willing to donate their time and volunteer.
In our first endeavor, we chose to help the Bhutanese refugees who were exiled from their country and brought to the US to be able to live and worship with basic freedoms.
We provided three health fairs which were funded by bake sales, donations, and by holding a successful 5K run raising over $2,500.  At our health fairs' we recruited translators, technicians, and physicians to help us check patient's vital signs including blood pressure, temperature, height, weight, BMI, vision testing, etc.  We also had a blood drawing station which was sent out to lab corps for testing.  Following the health fair we organized private one-on-one consultations with a variety of physicians and specialists who discussed blood test results with the patients and answered any of their questions and concerns.
While our organization has made huge progress, we want to expand our outreach to a wider cross section of people, and you can help us.  We have been shortlisted for the Orchid Grant which is given by the Orchid Giving Circle to the nonprofit with the most votes by the end of August. The organization with the most amount of votes is guaranteed the money requested when applying for the grant.  With your support-- we can not only provide more health screenings, but also health education talks, medical equipment donations, and numerous other free health services to the underprivileged citizens of our community.

Thank you for your support!
