Millions of people suffer every year because they don’t have the most basic health services necessity freely available to them. Help us change that.
We have a simple mission: to provide more people in the DFW area with free health services and education and support research for better health for those in need, specifically refugee populations.
April 25, 2020- Health Hub donated supplies such as bags of rice, pasta, and flour to the Bhutanese refugees to help during quarantine. The Health Hub members also gave out homemade mask supplies so the refugees could make their own masks. Health Hub served around 50 refugee families to help them during this COVID-19 pandemic.
Summer of 2019- Health Hub was recognized by the United Nations through the Millennium Fellowship and began expanding to Pittsburgh, PA. We will now be given more resources from the UN to help host Health Hub activities in Pittsburg
January 19, 2019- Fourth health fair where we served approximately 75 new Bhutanese refugees in the DFW area; at this fair we also provided free mammograms for 30 Bhutanese women
October 12, 2018- The Orchid Giving Circle Fund at the Texas Women's Foundation granted Health Hub $1,000
September 5, 2018- Health Hub raised money and donated free school supplies to over 100 Bhutanese children
January 11, 2017- Third health fair where Health Hub conducted free education camps and gave healthcare kits to 100 Bhutanese refugees
October 12, 2017- Health Hub was granted $5,000 by the Orchid Giving Circle fund at the Dallas Woman’s Foundation!
June 5, 2017- Health Hub was nominated for the Orchid Giving Circle fund at the Dallas Woman’s Foundation short list of grantees alongside the Asian Breast Health Outreach Project, Catholic Charities Fort Worth, Chetna, the Dallas Holocaust Museum, the International Leadership of Texas, the Mosaic Family Services, IGNITE Texas, and Heart House.
December 17, 2016- Health fair in Fort Worth; served 100 Bhutanese Refugees
November 15, 2016- 5K run at Brookhaven Community College to raise money for second health fair; raised nearly $3,000
November 15, 2016- A Health Hub was interviewed by multiple media organizations including TV 9
Summer of 2016- A Health Hub was officially recognized as a nonprofit organization
July 17, 2016- Health fair at the HeartHouse in Dallas; served 50 Bhutanese Refugees
